Registration and abstract submissions open on the July 4th, 2022 and close September 9th September 26th. This is the extended submission deadline, and it will not be extended any further!

Further registration information will be released as the year progresses. Abstracts are 300 words and a single figure.

Students will have the option of presenting their research as a talk or a poster. Students will indicate their format preference and will be informed at the close of registration. Due to capacity, there are a limited number of talks available to be given. The committee will award talk slots based on merit.

KOALA is a low-cost conference to encourage HDR students to attend. Registration is $250 AUD for non-Optica members and $210 for Optica members. This cost includes accommodation, meals, and social day costs. Travel grants will also be available, with up to $250 for domestic travellers, and up to $500 for international (including Aotearoa/New Zealand).
