Theme and Talks
KOALA is the Konference on Optics, Atoms, and Laser Applications. The talks and posters will encompasses a variety of topics within these broad fields.
Previous conferences have showcased student research in areas such as astrophotonics, atomic physics, biomedical imaging, biophotonics, laser design, metrology, molecular physics, nanofabrication, fluorescent nanoparticles, nonlinear optics, quantum optics, remote laser sensing, and super-fast spectroscopy. We welcome research from these topics and any other related field!
The conference is aimed at post-graduate research students, and presentations are on current research projects. Most attendees are at the very beginning of their careers, so this is also a great way to discover a wide range of possible directions if you are just starting out within the world of optics and photonics!
Student talks are 12 minutes, with 3 minutes for questions.
